Unterwegs / On the road

Ich bin echt froh, dass wir eine zweite Erkundungstour machen konnten. Wir haben 5 verschiedene Dörfer besucht, was uns einen guten Einblick verschafft hat. Die Fahrt war lang und die Nächte unbequem, aber es hat sich gelohnt. Die Leute waren sehr freundlich und haben uns herzlich Willkommen geheißen.

I'm really glad that we could do a second survey trip. We visited 5 different villages, which gave us a good insight. The drive was long and the nights uncomfortable, but it was worth it. The people were very friendly and welcomed us warmly.

Im ersten Dorf in dem wir hielten, haben wir Cashew Frucht zum probieren gekriegt. Sehr saftig sind sie, aber ziehn dir den Mund zusammen.... sind also bitter?! sauer?! Müsst sie wohl selbst mal versuchen. 

In the first village they gave us cashew fruit to try. It's very juicy and a bit bitter. 

Alle lieben es Fotos von uns oder mit uns zu machen. Man kommt sich vor wie ein Star :D 

Everyone likes to take pictures of us or with us. One can feel like a star :D 

Eine Ladestation in einem der Dörfer. Der Generator wird angeschmissen und jeder der ein Handy landen möchte kommt vorbei. Ich bin mir sicher, sie müssen was dafür bezahlen, aber ich hab nicht nachgefragt. 

A charging station in on of the villages. Someone runs a generator and whoever wants to charge their phone can come by. I'm sure they have to pay for it, but I did'd asked how they really go about it. 

 Auf dem Rückweg mussten wir durch diesen Fluss fahren. Es sah zuerst etwas beängstigend aus, aber uns wurde gesagt, dass man den blauen Fähnchen (könnt ihr sie sehen?) folgen muss, dann ist es einfach. Und es hat tatsächlich wunderbar geklappt ;)

On our way back we had to cross this river. It looked a bit intimidating at first but we were told if we  follow those little flags (can you see them?) it will be easy. And in deed, it worked well. No problem passing through.
